Babysitting grandkids may prevent Alzheimer’s

A recent study from Australia shows that investing a normal amount of time caring for grandkids may reduce risk of Alzheimer’s Disease by expanding cerebrum capacity. "He’s our first grandson, and we are just thrilled to pieces about having him in our lives," said Mary Humm.

She and spouse Patrick are grandparents of Alex. "We have a few other grandparent families in the area, and we're prepared to join that gathering," said Patrick. Their introduction as guardians to Alex might not have been simple.

Texas Health has named it as "Grandparents 101" for this new era of grandmothers and grandpas. They learn refreshed health rules, newborn child CPR, and how to childproof their home.

For the Hummus, the class got them out of their rut and ready for whatever little Alex throws their way.

"You don’t have time to think about anything else," said Mary. "It's a wonderful exercise in love, it is."
